or assist in the charge of your electric vehicle at home.
EV Charger Installation
We are based in Scarborough and cover the local area , Malton , York areas of North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire areas for EV Installation.
The first step is to establish whether or not the existing installation can accommodate the extra loading of an EV charger. To establish this, a site survey is carried out either in person or remotely. Lots of things are checked on the site survey ranging from the properties existing earthing arrangement, The electrical demand at the property, the incoming supply arrangements and the existing setup. Permission and notification to connect from the local power grid will also be required. J Electrical are registered with the ENA and can carry out this as part of the works.
We install as standard a new separate consumer unit dedicated to controlling the EV charger. This will contain all the latest safety devices required such as an RCBO and Surge Protection. This means minimal disruption to your existing electrical setup/fusebox. Once the charger is installed, we will fully setup the charger ready to charger the vehicle and run through the whole process with our customers.
We only supply and install chargers from companies which have a very good overall user review and ones that offer a good 3 year OEM warranty. We can supply and install most makes of charger and will work closely with our customers to get them the best charger to suit their needs whether that be tethered or untethered or a certain manufacturer.
J Electrical are registered product champions for Myenergi. Myenergi have the Zappi EV Charger and the new Zappi Glo. We also supply and Install Hypervolt, Anderson EV and Ohme EV Chargers.
